Things for Kids To Do

Whirlybird Music & Arts Festival THIS Weekend

What an amazing weekend we had last weekend in Jamestown.  The National Comedy Center (NCC) celebrated its Grand Opening, Amy Schumer performed to a sold-out crowd, and Dan Aykroyd donated his famous 1971 Harley Davidson to the NCC!  Not to mention that four other new businesses opened in downtown Jamestown, the 16-18 Babe Ruth World Series began at Russ Dietrick Stadium, AND the Jamestown Jammers made the playoffs (and have since won the 2018 PGCBL Championship)!

Think the summer excitement is over in Jamestown, New York?  Think again!  This weekend Sunshine Vibes, the first annual Whirlybird Music & Arts Festival will take place in the historic streets of downtown Jamestown, New York, on Saturday August 11, 2018, from 9 a.m. through 2 a.m.

Whirlybird is a city-wide, day-long community celebration with something for everyone! Best of all, it's all for charity!

This year's festival program will feature a multi-genre mix of locally, regionally, and nationally touring musical acts complemented by pop-up galleries, live art exhibits, a comedy showcase, a poetry slam competition and more.

Make sure to check out the street market hosted by Jamestown Public Market, a beer garden hosted by the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts, and wellness sessions.  Additionally, local food and merchants will be available throughout Jamestown.  Whirlybird:SUN (daytime) events from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. are available for a good-will donation.  Whirlybird:MOON (evening) events from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. (21+ ONLY) are available for $15.  Please see graphic below for locations of all of the shows/showcases/exhibits.

All of the proceeds from this year's event will be donated to Infinity Visual & Performing Arts, to Jr. Guilders of Jamestown, and to YMCA Camp Onyahsa
