Backyard gardens and high-flying wrestling this weekend

The Jamestown Audubon’s Secret Garden Tour – an annual treat for garden gawkers – returns this weekend with tours that stretch throughout Greater Jamestown. The tour takes visitors through spectacular backyard gardens in Jamestown, Lakewood, and Celoron, just in time for the height of the gardening season. Pre-sale tickets are just $10 and proceeds benefit the Jamestown Audubon Society. Learn more here.

Two wrestling-related events will also be taking place this weekend at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena and Allen Park. Both events were profiled in this space a few weeks ago. Refer to that blog post here.

This weekend also features a new photography exhibit at the Third on Third Gallery in downtown Jamestown. Randal Piersons, a Swedish photographer, grew up in Jamestown and migrated to Sweden in 1972. He’s returning for his Jamestown High School 50th reunion and will exhibit a collection of his photographs. At his July 11th opening, he will share why he made Sweden his home and how the country has inspired his work. “My Sweden” will run from July 11th to August 9th. Learn more about Randal and his photography here.
