Thursday, February 27-Cirque Ziva
Cirque Ziva will takeover the stage at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts for an amazing night of acrobatic theater. Time honored acrobatics, traditional dance and spectacular costuming provide a full-blown feast for the senses. This 21-member troupe from China’s Hebei Province amazes audiences of all ages with their timeless thrills and a show full of daring feats of athletic discipline and grace, brilliant costumes, music and movement.
Part centuries-old tradition, part groundbreaking art, Cirque Ziva combines award-winning acrobatics, traditional dance, spectacular costumes, ancient and contemporary music, and innovative theater in a show that will leave the whole family cheering. Get your tickets online.
Friday, February 28-Closed Mic 3
Local comedians come together to help you laugh away the winter blues this Friday at the Reg Studio Theater on Third St in Jamestown. The event will feature comedy from previous participants such as Eric Basile, Adam Gould, and Bohdan Kanicki. Experienced funny men Len Barry and Gary Peters Jr. will be performing as well. Chris Miraglia, Jon Bell, and Kyle Czerniak round out the listed performers. There are always fun surprises at these events. Saturday, March 1-Women Create Opening
Women Create celebrates the artistic contributions of local women with a juried exhibit every other year. The opening reception will take place this Saturday, March 1st from 7pm-9pm at the Third on Third Gallery located at 116 East Third St in Jamestown. Saturday, March 1-lectric Soul Dance Party
Local DJs Jonny Cobra and Mama Glamazon will be providing the finest funk, soul, disco, r&b, and boogaloo at Mojo's on 2nd St in Jamestown. New and old as well as popular and obscure music will keep you moving all night long. [Link to Facebook Event]
